Vera Lloyd
At Vera Lloyd, we believe that every child deserves a safe place to heal and grow.

Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services
Founded in 1923 by Lulu Williamson and members of the Presbyterian Church, Vera Lloyd began as a children’s home in Monticello, Arkansas, offering care and refuge to youth in need. Over the past century, it has grown into a statewide, trauma-informed organization rooted in compassion, faith, and community support.
Today
Vera Lloyd continues its mission to heal, prepare, and empower children, youth, and families in need. Our 45-acre campus provides a nurturing environment for youth in foster care, juvenile justice, and independent living programs. Residents come to us from across Arkansas. Some of the services we provide include:
-
Workforce education to help residents build a future of independence and opportunity
-
Mental and physical healthcare to support whole-person healing
-
Time for recreation and self-discovery
-
Free online training for foster families
At Vera Lloyd, we believe that every child deserves a safe place to heal and grow. With continued support from individuals, churches, and community partners, we are proud to carry forward a century-long legacy of hope and healing.
